Nestled in the heart of Playa Mujeres, this resort offers an exceptional balance of privacy and convenience, even though it’s surrounded by nearby resorts. Its prime location is one of the key reasons it’s so highly sought after, with its pristine beaches offering a perfect backdrop for relaxation and special events. The resort’s perfect balance of seclusion and accessibility – just 15 minutes from Cancun Airport – makes it an ideal spot for a destination wedding, ensuring that all your guests can easily attend.

Central Beach
A picture is worth a thousand words: Playa Mujeres is famous for its breathtaking beaches, and the Central Beach venue is no exception. It will, without a doubt, provide a stunning backdrop for sunset weddings. Just keep in mind that it’s centrally located within the resort, so it’s not a private venue!

If you’re more of a lavish and opulent wedding type, no worries – the SLS has an extravagant venue that’s perfect for you. It’s incredibly versatile and can be customized to fit your unique decor vision, allowing you to create the luxurious atmosphere of your dreams. Also, a great back-up option!

Quick overview:
Rooms: Over 500 rooms.
Family Friendly: Yes, but also has an adult-only section called Twiggy. The swim-up bar over there is not to be missed; it felt like we were in a beach club in St Tropez. On the other hand, the Kids’ Zone is a lot of fun and packed with amenities. There’s something for both little ones and big kids to enjoy.
Pet-Friendly: Yes, but service dogs only.
Room Service: Yes.
Wi-Fi: Yes, in the common areas of the resort. Extra costs for full-on Wi-Fi services.
Restaurants: Yes. Up to 18 restaurants and bars to choose from.
Nightclub: No, but here are plenty of amazing bars, but we especially loved the Monkey Bar.
Spa: Yes. The Ciel Spa offers some top-notch treatments. We’ve heard that the Diamond Energy Reparative Facial is truly exquisite. Perfect for a bride-to-be!
Beauty Salon: Yes.
Fitness Center: Yes, both indoors and outdoors.
Pools: The resort also featured a lazy river that takes you all around the property. We absolutely loved that one-of-a-kind amenity!
Water Sports: Yes. So many to choose from, most of them come at extra-costs.

PRO
• Staying at this resort will make you feel like a little kid all over again – it’s all about endless fun and playfulness.
• The resort is brand new, and it definitely feels that way. The rooms and amenities are spotless and incredibly fresh.
• We’re big fans of the outdoor gym! It’s the little details like this that really make the resort stand out.
CONS
• If you’re seeking a more demure resort, this might not be the one for you. It’s truly – and we mean truly eccentric. A better option nearby would be Atelier Playa Mujeres.
• The beach isn’t a long stretch of white sand, but rather a series of smaller bays, so if you’re envisioning a long romantic stroll along the shore, this may not be the setting for that.
• This resort offers stunning beach venues, including a beautiful main strand and a more private, smaller one. However, the Golden Hour bar has an uneven surface, which may be inconvenient for receptions, and the Sky Bar has limited access, making it more challenging for large floral arrangements or guests with mobility issues.

Captivate Swim Out Suite – There are so many fantastic room options at SLS Playa Mujeres, but we absolutely loved the Swim Out Suite. The video below really showcases how great it is!
The Rooftop Suite is another absolute showstopper at this resort. With breathtaking panoramic views, this suite offers a luxurious and spacious setting, complete with elegant décor and high-end amenities.
Beach
The white sand and turquoise waters at Playa Mujeres are truly stunning, perhaps among the finest on Mexico’s Caribbean coast. However, the beach is not a continuous stretch of white sand; instead, it consists of several smaller bays. So, if you’re hoping for a long, romantic walk along the shore, this might not be the ideal spot.
Food
We really enjoyed the wide variety of food at the resort – there’s something to satisfy every taste. One standout was our lunch at Twiggy Restaurant in the Adults-Only section, which was absolutely exquisite. The octopus ceviche and shrimp tacos were unforgettable.
